Well done. I couldn’t swallow at all initially - it wasn’t pain just couldn’t make myself do it. It will come.

I seem to have a wobble when I have to drink in bed. Once im up in chair its ok . speech therapist taught me how to swallow different yesterday and at mo im half way through my first fortisip takes ages though, not sure I'll have enough time in the day to get through 5 of them but I suppose as the days go on you get a bit quicker.

Hi I must admit Ive totally amazed myself seeing as I was so anxious. I know the harder darker days will come thats expected . It my birthday next Wednesday so I've got a focus to get home for.

Sounds like you’re making progress. It felt like I spent all my waking hours eating for at least the first two weeks. As soon as I could swallow liquids they sent me home. 

The doctors told me days 4-5 would be the worst and that was about right I’m afraid. I was sent home with oramorph and I did use it over about 5 days particularly to get me going in the morning. I found sleeping difficult. But I think you’ve got your reclining sofa!!
