Hi all,
I am going with my mum for her biopsy results tomorrow and just wondered if anyone had a similar experience!
She finished her treatment in april for HPV tonsil cancer with 2 node involvement. She has been told that the primary tumor is gone however her CT showed up something in one lymph node - she then had her PET scan (however was on antibiotics for an infection at the time) so the PET showed up a hot spot but they were unsure whether this was infection related.. She had her biopsy on the 8th of Oct and gets her results tomorrow!
I just so desperately want them to say that everything is clear! She is getting really down about her rig tube and would love to avoid surgery is possible! Im trying to keep everything crossed and positive for her, I just want her to be able to close this chapter and continue her recovery.
Hoping for positive stories from others and prayers for good news!!
Thanks
Hi Lyndsayxo
So sorry to read the stress you and your mum are under
I had six weeks RT for a tumour st the base of my tongue. My put treatment PET showed up a hotspot too. It was biopsied and no cancer found.
Fingers crossed for you both
