Hi

Did anyone use a special pillow during treatment? My 23yo nephew is about to start chemo & RT (brain tumour) and we are looking for anything that might ease his journey. I didn’t use one myself so looking for recommendations.
Thanks, Lisa

  • I had a PEG feeding tube put in place prior to Radio/Chemotherapy, required overnight feeding via the PEG, found a V-shaped pillow to be essential equipment... helpful for sleeping and to minimise acid reflux.

  • I had a foam wedge pillow which I have found very useful when recovering from surgery and during/post CRT.  Depending on what way around it was configured it cave varying degrees of slope.

I also purchased and used extensively a small half round pillow to go under my knees so that when sleeping on my back my knee joints were given some respite. This is similar to the pillow found on MRI/CT machines for the same reason.

  • Thanks for this. Can you let me know where you bought them or a brand name so I can pass it on?
