Hi,

Did anyone see this on Channel 4 the other day -

In June 2022, comedian Rhod Gilbert was diagnosed with a little-known form of head and neck cancer. This is the story of his intimate, inspiring and humorous journey through treatment.

- you see it on the Chanel 4 hub. I had something similar, but I was zapped in a wider area. He seems to downplay the side effects from my experience. Probably as not to scare the public!

Enjoy

Mark.

  • Hi Mark, yes I did watch

There are some posts about it in THIS THREAD and a BLOG HERE

He seems to downplay the side effects from my experience. Probably as not to scare the public!

I'm not so sure it's the main reason. It's an awful treatment and while I am happy to share how I got through it with fellow victims as far as the public is concerned it's very private
It wasn't a medical programme and I fee it struck a good balance. The highlighting of the role of HPV was good too

  • Hi mark

I watched it and I thought the same actually. Not sure he could have shown it any better unless it was rated 18 with warning signs or horror and torture Rofl

I watched rhod back in February talking about his cancer on comic relief. I was laughing and said to my husband I'm going to hell as I'm laughing at man with head and neck cancer. A month later I was diagnosed with the same cancer!!!  I couldn't believe it!!

I do hope you are doing well
