I have had some test results back today but don't really understand it. They are awaiting the results of a "P16 status" and there is cancer in the "left arytenoid" Lastly, "small lymph nodes show on left side, needle biopsy suggests that there reactive in origin, also CT scan . A referral has gone into the Sussex Cancer Centre anyway but what does it all mean?????
Hi I’ve answered in another thread but Probably best to go over it again here
P16 is a marker for HPV. It’s a stain that done on the biopsy.
The Arytenoid is a cartilage in the larynx.
A reactive lymph node is a gland that’s reacting to something going on in the body. Usually infection. Not cancer.
