Gelclair Tips Required

As I am having problems with a very sore throat, and the oncologist says that there is still quite a bit of healing to be done, I have recently been given Gelclair to try and help. I know that this is supposed to form a protective coating over raw area but it is not working for me. I cannot seem to get the mixture to the required area due to the pain. I cannot gargle the fluid around my whole mouth. Does snyone hav any tips to assist me?

Hi Bob I used to dilute it with water from memory the sachets are 15 mil so used 15 mil of water that made it easier to swill round mouth But don’t swallow you can gargle it if you used 2 sachets that would make 60 mil of liquid. You can also try gargling g with dispersal aspirin to relieve the pain.

If you can’t gargle then there’s no point in the gelclair. I would buy a small spray bottle off Amazon

get it delivered this weekend and fill it with dissolved soluble aspirin

OR you could get a Difflam spray which has a long nozzle. Chemist will have it.

I do have Difflam spray and I will try that a bit more often. The pharmacy supplied the spray in quantity instead of the mouthwash.

Help us do whatever it takes, because we’ve never been needed more.
