I have undergone Radiotherapy treatment and It has made my tongue ultra sensitive.
Can anyone recommend a toothpaste that does not sting?
Thanks in advance
Michael
I am having the same, and it is a bit over ten weeks since I stopped radiotherapy. I am using the high fluoride Duraphat toothpaste twice a day, with ordinary toothpaste mid-day, and it really stings my tongue. You are meant not to rinse the mouth after using Duraphat, but I have told the hospital dental team that I have to rinse my mouth out to make the stinging more bearable. They had no advice beyond that I should keep the rinsing to a minimum.
Hi Michael you can try Ora nurse it’s not as high a fluoride as duraphat but if you use bioxtra mouth wash as well that’s high fluoride. The Ora nurse dissents gave sodium laurel sulphate in so far gentler
hope thus helps you can then go back to duraphat later.
