Hi I just wanted to see if other have the same problem I had oesophagus cancer 4 years ago and suffer with the reflux I feel so ill after the attack is there anyone who has the same problem that could help me also the dimping but I call it my moment I can handle that they last half a hour then I back to myself but it’s the reflux is another thing
Hi Gin,
It might be useful to tell us what steps you are already taking to avoid reflux? No point in people suggesting things that you are already trying. It’s all a bit trial and error for each individual to find what works best for them and, even with that, I don’t think it ever goes away completely.

I still have cancer but no symptoms.
So the risk: benefit of medications may be different for me than it is for you.
I take UP TO 80mg omeprazole per day (split into 2 doses of 40mg morning and evening). This is the maximum dose. And not advised for long time use. If I forget to take this or try and bring the dose down I have break through reflux.
My point being. There may be scope under medical supervision to increase your dose when the reflux is particularly bad. I would ask your GP’s advice.
Hi,
I’m on Lansoperazol 30mg twice a day. I frequently don’t take my morning pill if I don’t feel that I need it but never forego my bedtime tablet. I sleep on my right side with a couple of pillows as I find I am more likely to suffer from reflux if I accidentally move onto my left side. I try to avoid eating after 9pm and there are certain foods that I avoid in the evenings (e.g. flavoured crisps, too much chocolate). As I mentioned, I am not completely free from reflux incidents but the frequency and severity have both definitely diminished over time (almost 2 yrs post surgery).
