  • Hi there,

Sorry that you received this news. You’ll know more about your treatment plan on Friday but this site will be a very useful source of information and advice for you. Keep in touch, CB

  • Hi Steve,

I'm so sorry that you're on this journey but I'm pleased that you've found the forum. I remember being at this part of the journey where you have the diagnosis and still waiting to find out the stage and treatment.  My head was spinning. I hope you're keeping as well as you can. Ask any questions you have, as this is a well trodden path sadly.

    Take care

  • Hi Steve. Sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis. It’s good that you have found this forum. There is lots and lots of support here and someone will always respond to you. Hoping Friday gives you some answers, and don’t forget to ask as many different questions as you can. It’s a good idea to take someone with you, if you can. Best wishes, Julie

  • Yes the wife will be with me

  • Hi Steve,

I’m really sorry that you find yourself here. it’s best not to worry too much (I know it’s easier said than done). Hopefully you find out more on Friday and your oncologist can tell you more about treatment options. This forum is amazing and has given me so much hope (I care for my mum who has been diagnosed). I hope it can do the same for you. Sending you lots of well wishes

  • Hello Steve

Have you been given a treatment plan, yet? How are you coping?

  • Hi yes I start my first chemo tomorrow

  • What sort are you being given. Steve? Wishing you all the best with it. My husband has had minimal side effects from FOLFOX so far. Tingling reaction to touching cold things and cold air; slight constipation for a couple of days after and he's just said his lunch tasted like cardboard. He'd even added jalapenos to his tuna sarnie!

  • Hope it goes well tomorrow Steve. Take some things to read/watch as well as a warm jumper. It can get a bit cold sometimes. Take care. Julie
