The procedure was stopped as my blockage would not allow the camera any further, it went down 29cm from the incisors and the report says malignant appearing stricture. He has told me to go on liquids due to this and swallowing problems. I awaiting further info, has anyone else had a blockage like this. What happens next ? Obviously this is a big shock and I am bit nervy to say the least.

    all the best

  • I have something similar, mine is 39cm stage 3,next for me was an op to install a jej feeding tube which is still in place followed by chemo to shrink the tumour. I still have some problems swallowing certain foods but I'm on Osmolite liquid feed via tube overnight and bottles of Ensure 2cal as well during the day.

I had this done because I was underweight and they wanted me heavier for surgery. Otherwise I'm on softer foods and trying no eat little and often .

    Good luck with your journey
