I can understand what you're going through, though as most people mention all journeys are quite individual.

I have something similar,mine is 39cm stage 3,next for me was an op to install a jej feeding tube which is still in place followed by chemo to shrink the tumour. I still have some problems swallowing certain foods but I'm on Osmolite liquid feed via tube overnight and bottles of Ensure 2cal as well during the day. 

I had this done because I was underweight and they wanted me heavier for surgery. Otherwise I'm on softer foods and trying no eat little and often .
