hi all,
just a bit of advice, work were brilliant with the breast cancer, then shortly after that, this new little so and so appeared, so havent been at work for some time, had my oesophagectomy op in Jan, so just getting used to the smaller stomach, ongoing treatment etc, the whole mental health issues that comes with this whole journey, think the ssp has now reached its final payment that im entitled to, been told there will be some forms from work to fill in that will involve ocupational health and a phone call.
Any one been through this, and now, PIP looks like its needed, although did try initially but as application wasnt completed in full, they declined it. Just looking for some help and advice, without the worry of scans, blood tests and ongoing immunotherapy.
Thanking you all as always
Jules

Hi Jules
I hope you are well when my SSP ran out my employee advised me to apply for ESA ( employment support allowance) which worked out to be around £278 per fortnight I didn’t apply for pip.
I have also found that not eating after 7pm has helped manage my reflux which has been an ongoing reoccurrence but I just take one day at a tired but the fatigue can be difficult to manage . My oesophagetomy was May 24 and I have just gone back to work.
Wishing you well on your healing journey
thank you Barr, such a lot of paperwork, will look into that, dont think people realise the long term recovery if not dealt with this little so and so, unfortunately this came few months after a masectomy so, a lot of time signed off work. hard not to feel bad, but on days like today when my stomach is not playing ball, and i lost 2lb, still keeping me mid 6 stones, then anything i can sort financialy will be one less thing to worry about. really appreciate the help. appointment week after next at maggies churchill financial person, so will get all the forms ready to take.
jules
