Hi folks.
I had 28 lymph nodes removed during the Ivor Lewis open procedure to remove a tumour in the junction of my esophagus and stomach. I have been experience a swelling bloating and tightening in my abdomin from where my rib cage meets in the middle and to my old stomach position. Can I have lymphoedema around my abdomin as I understand the 28 nodes removed encircled my new esophagus and what was left of my stomach? To blur things I was diagnosed with lymphocitic colitis about 2 years ago. Recent scans of my eosophagus suggest no return of cancer, yet this and dull back, neck, shoulder pain with sore reoccurring crepitis and fatigue is grinding me down and sometimes I feel I am grinding to a halt. I can only say it feels like it's episodic in nature, flareup like, but my gp doesn't seem to wish to explore for any underlying additional autoimmune, with me jolting his memory to look at blood tests he forgets to look at etc. It maybe just bad flareups of lymphocitic colitis, with joint and other pains elsewhere in my body and fatigue with this condition.
Anyone else experienced anything similar. I an over 10year post surgery and back working full time for last 9 years but looking forward to retirement in 4 years time lol.

Strum,
Your GP is not listening to you it seems. Either you have another appointment and you make sure s/he understands your concerns, if not, please seek out another opinion.
In fact I would urge you to.
I'm only 1 year post op and my digestive functions fluctuate wildly. I am bloated sometimes but not all the time. I can't shake that fatigue though. It's there every day. I'm back to work in reduced hours.
I bet you are looking forward to retirement. I wish I could do that!
Take care and get better soon
