Your grief will be raw yet you have found the time to reach out to this community with words of thoughtfulness.  Your  husband must have been as proud of you as you are of him.  Both of you have borne the consequences of this terrible illness with dignity.

I am sorry for your loss. I lost my partner 6 weeks ago to this cruel disease. He didn’t have the opportunity to have treatment and lost his battle 3 weeks after the terminal diagnosis. I am still in the denial phase of grief. I was recommended a book called Unexpected Loss and Grief Recovery. I have managed a few chapters so far but it is very insightful and takes you through the process of grieving, coping and managing which I am finding very hard at the moment. I hope you are ok xx

Evy, thank you for thinking of us. I'm sorry your husband didn't manage to survive this awful disease. We had our fears confirmed today when the palliative care team nurse told us he has weeks, not months.
