Hi all,
I’m fours years post Ivor Lewis and have been reasonably ok, the only trouble I’ve had is discomfort after I’ve eaten (not dumping) I have had a number of endoscopy’s and stretching which helps for about 6 months then I’m back to pain again. On seeing the surgeon today, the first time since 2021 he told me that on my recent barium swallow it looks like I have a kink and the food is squeezing past this probably causing the pain. I’m going to have a CT scan, only my second since surgery to determine if the kink can be stretched out, which will mean more keyhole surgery.
Has anyone else had problems like this and has anyone had revision surgery ? My surgeon says he’s successfully done about six patients who had the same problem that I’m having. I’m unsure if I want to be operated on again but I’m getting really fed up with the pain after everything I eat.
