Diarrhoea following B12 injection

Sorry, MollyMoo. I can't offer any advice. What are these injections for? I wonder if a post on a more general forum might get a better response if this is something not specific to oesophageal cancer.

Hi guys desperately need help.  Have some food stuck in my oesophagus can't get it to shift. Tried usual stuff, drink,  vomiting but just won't move.  Any suggestions please.

Hello Marcia. You've tried both methods my husband has used and he can't think of anything else. Have you tried drinking a lot of water then making yourself sick? He put his fingers down his throat xxx

I hope this has resolved itself now Marcia. 

They are usually needed if anyone has had part or all their stomach removed as the stomach produces a factor that aids the absorbing of B12. He has been to the Urgent Treatment Centre today as he could not get a GP appointment.  They have given him codeine to bung him up, so to speak and he is having a poo test done to see if there is an infection but the doctor does seem to think it is an extreme reaction to the B12 jabs.

My husband has the B12 every 3 months as he has had his stomach removed but luckily for him he hasn’t had this, hope it’s sorted out soon xx
