  • Hi Jules

How are you doing? Hope the chemo and radio are not as bad as you feared? It does mess with your head though, doesn't it...

I had radiotherapy for breast cancer and my skin got very sore and inflamed. They prescribed a cream but I can't remember what it was, it's a long time ago now.

When I had the radiotherapy this year I was watching for any signs of irritation or redness but I didn't have any at all and I had 23 sessions. So I don't think it's a given, I suppose it just depends on how sensitive your skin is. I think nearly all the burning is internal.

    Best wishes

  • Hello Jules.

I had surgery to fix a broken wrist earlier in the year. I used bio oil, recommended by a colleague and daughters. The scar is much better than I'd expected. Palmers cocoa butter is also used by many for helping with skin discolouration, stretch marks, etc., so might be worth a go.

I'm told that the massaging as you apply the moisturiser also helps.

    Best of luck!
