hi all thought i would put this on its own chat, after the wallpaper paste making a regular come back last few days, and especially waking almost on the hour coughing and choking, with hardly any sleep and my food line imminent this thursday, whats the best figuration to manage these symptons and the next stage.
have the large "v" shape pillow from the masectomy days last october, and a couple of flattish pillows, but just doesnt seem to prop me up enough, off to the local "range" and "dunelm" after the lung function test today, so assume the fatter the better, tried various ways without much success, apart from sitting up downstairs on the sofa.
also genuinely cant see how the food and pump will work while i am trying to sleep, and with my awful weight at the moment, will assume straight to connect with the food/pump. quite nervous about this, but know its a must, i look awful and feel so unwell and swallowing is getting harder. with the constant stuck feeling, even with my tablets this morning, which wasnt an issue a few days ago!!
thank you all again for your invaluable advice and experience, heres to a new week, what ever its going to bring x

thank you all, really good advice, on it as so much flippin time on my hands, currently less than 24 hrs from having the laparoscopy, and the jpeg fitted, christ they downplay the discomfort in the shoulders, and my poor stomach, not that there is a lot of it, this total pain is something else, and thats not even including the big op that they want me to do, so will get over this, trying not to do too much, have to say keyhole, with what, a hosepipe!! more scars to brag about out, (some one nearly believed me when i said my masectomy scar was from a shark bite, only briefly though, their face was a picture,)
currently trying not to laugh, cough or retch, not that easy!!) then think its 2 week break, then chemo/radiotherapy, 6 wks off and than THE operation which i didnt really want but he oncologist did all the stats, and said if you was my relative i would tell you to grab this treatment with both hands, your stats and survival rates are better, not looking forward to the recovery, but to be fair quality of life before the op yesterday was pretty poor, mentally not really physically except the food stuff.
flushed the tube for first time, pump not due to start until sunday when everything has calmed down pain wise, 10 hours!!! at a time and 500ml in total, terrified i will kick it over or roll over. friends impressed that the rucksuck that i had with the pump will take the feed and a small prosecco, honestly!
think down south we have some sun this weekend, will see if i am up to getting out in it, have a good weekend what ever place you are all at, such lovely words and support as always from you all, thank you xx

Hi Jules,
I hope, I hope the pain subsides for you and you manage to find more comfortable positions to be in for sleeping and food.
I don't know much about THE operation other than what I have read on here over the years, but if they can remove all traces, that will hopefully put you on a new journey with new positive adventures.
I am not sure which hospital you are under, and I know they are all different in their treatment approach, but it seems as if your MDT are doing the best they can to get you to a full recovery.
I am sorry to read how overwhelming the meeting was on the 9th.
I hope you find the Sun
