Dear all,
I wonder if any one is going through the same symptoms as I or had the same problems.
I had surgery 6 months ago. It was followed by a string of complications and I spent a month and a half in hospital. There was a tiny hole where the suture was and they inserted gastric sponges to constrict the oesophagus. I had 3 sponges in total, which means 3 additional full anaesthesia.
I am now forgetting a lot of things. I'm very forgetful and misunderstand things too. It takes a lot of energy to concentrate. I'm terrified because my father had Alzheimer's and I saw what it did to him.
This has affected my work. Some of my friends do not understand fully what I'm going through and that makes things more difficult.
I would like to know if any of you have had to deal with terrible brain fog and terrifying forgetfulness.
Thank you

Hi Seasurf. How rotten for you. I can’t relate to your symptoms to my post recovery, but I do know that my memory becomes muddled or I become confused when I am anxious. Bearing in mind you have the pressure of work and your colleagues plus the knowledge of your Father all makes for a stressful state of mind. Maybe you should contact your GP to be on the safe side. Hope things improve. Take care, Julie
Hi Julieanne60,
Thank you. I will contact my GP about it.
I hope you're recovery is going well.
