Mum had stent fitted and it seemed to work well but she is now having awful pain and even talking about killing herself. I cannot let this go on

  • Hi , That sounds dreadful for your poor mum. You've probably already called her oncology team, if not I'd get onto them straight away. You could try the PALS (patient liaison) in the hospital, they're pretty good with letting you know what is available. if your mum has not already been referred to the local hospice, I'd ask the GP to do it as they can provide a lot of pain support in the home. I hope you find someone helps soon.

  • Hi Carter31,

I hope you have managed to get the help your Mum needs and took on some of the suggestions from Looby, it is terrible to watch someone you love be in so much pain .
