Hi all
have posted a couple of times in here. My dad has been staged t3n2m0 and finished 5 weeks of chemo and radiotherapy last week. He coped with it really well and didn’t suffer too much. he had a ct scan yesterday and so we are waiting to see how the chemo/radiotherapy has worked and are keeping everything crossed.
just wanted to know how long people had to wait post chemo for the op? To say I am concerned about the coronavirus is putting it mildly-am pretty terrified it will impact on dad’s op...
both him and my mum are self isolating, I have 2 small (totally healthy symptom-free!) children but obviously concerned about passing any germs at all on to him, let along coronavirus....
thanks
lori
Hi Lori
My surgery was carried out a month after my chemo had finished. I would hope that Coronovirus wouldn't impact on your dad's op as it is not classed as routine surgery and as far as I'm aware at the moment they are only talking about postponing routine operations.
Take Care

Hi , I have heard other members say that cancer ops are being postponed if the person is considered too high a risk to go into the hospital. All others seem to be going ahead. If you're at all worried please call his specialist nurse for expert advice.
