  • Hi Gerry

I’m so sorry to hear your news. I’m afraid I can’t offer any advice, information or stories. I just wanted to let you know there are people out there listening and thinking of you and your family.
Try to find some joy in your remaining time - I guess that’s what we should all be trying to do whether or not we have got cancer as none of us knows what the future holds.

Counting the days, making every day count.

Hi Gerry. I've been told today I have stage 4 oesophagus cancer. I'm going to go for chemo and maybe radio. Yes, some people have a rough time during chemo but some people sail through it. I've read many times on this forum that treatment gives you extra time and sometimes miracles happen and it gets cured. I think it's worth a shot.

Hi Gerry, my husband has stage 4  esophagus cancer with spread to liver and nodes. He was given 3 to 12 months to live without treatment. He has just finished 8 cycles of chemotherapy and is now on Herceptin for as long as it is working. He was diagnosed in July 2019 and is doing well and the cancer in esophagus and liver have shrunk. Everyone is different he had a bit of a problem with skin on hands and feet peeling but no sickness. He is glad he had the treatment and now we wait to see how he goes on. Good luck with your journey. Hope all goes well with whatever decision you make. Sue
