So, 3 months have past since my discharge with the expected slow but progressive improvement with a few rocks thrown in to remind me that this is an ever evolving recovery. Main issues have been right lung recovery , treated with steriod inhaler and a pyloric sphinter dilation via endoscopic ballon , will probably require 2-3 more of these. The endoscopy also found oesophageal candidiasis, this treated with 21 days of fluconazole an anti fungal drug.
I was given option to have post op ECX and decided to go ahead as a belt and braces approach but was delayed due to issues. However as things have improved significantly i now start post op ECX on monday
