My husband was diagnosed with this last Tuesday he had a scan tues and has got camera down again on wed the waiting around is unbearable they are trying to decide wether best to operate or chemo first! He 51 very healthy never smoked doesn’t drink goes to the gym and runs !! He is struggling more with swallowing and have noticed he’s burping a lot more which he’s saying he can’t help!! He’s still going to work at the moment as he saying he wants to while he is well enough this is all so new to us so scared for him my kids think the worst thing I’ve done is google things that has scared me half to death!! Would love to hear if any of you lovely people going through the same thing xx
Yes, understandable to google but really really unreliable! And as you have found not at all helpful.
I, like lots of people here, have had the diagnosis, been through the tests and the waiting and the uncertainty. But at this stage there is no reason to believe the worst.
It is a tough journey but loads of people make it through. Your husbands young age and physical fitness will stand him in good stead.
Keep updated with test results and progress and we’ll share our experiences in return.
. All the tests will take some time to complete.
Try to stay positive For each other.
Counting the days, making every day count.
