My husband was diagnosed in May 19 after 4 months of tests , we were told it was terminal as he was unable to have chemo due to his 13 years of stroke disabled on rhside in a wheelchair. Surgeon could not do op as risk of heart attach or stroke. Could not have chemo for same reason and could not have radiotherapy because he had wrong type of cancer that did not react to radiotherapy ,he is terminal . He had a stent fitted, good for 3 months then blocked, got it cleared but caused a bleed , which caused Pernicious anaemia, in hospital for a week. He now has problem can only drink so have been giving him complain drinks ,yogurts ,soup and rice pudding. Don't know what else to do! Have asked for help from palliative care !

    Hi wisheewashee,

So sorry to hear about your husband, I am also terminal and refused treatments.

I am replying to you because I have just started palative care, my local hospice has took complete control of my care I visit them today for the first time to receive counceling to help me understand how my life had changed so much in just weeks.

The hospice has sorted me benefits, a blue badge and given me real comfort and advice, contact your local hospice today they have given me hope going forward and will be there for you, I never thought I would say this but I am actually looking forward to walking into the hospice and meeting the people who have given me hope on the phone for the first time.

    My thoughts are with you

    Kind regards

    Alan ( chuddy )
