First of 4 FLOT cycles tomorrow bit like stepping into the unknown but has to be done ! First steroid taken (why do we have to take them ?) Plan is to have two before Christmas so hoping I might get a bowl of soup by Christmas but we will see !Any advice welcome !

So you're not eating any solids at the moment? Whereabouts in your oesophagus is the tumour?
No can’t eat anything at the moment haven’t since early September mine is on the joint at the top of the stomach ( forget the name )
It's a fluid that they hang up on a continuous drip alongside all the other wonderful things they are giving you. Interestingly the nutrition team for the PICC feeding were a totally separate team than for the NJ feed which I was transferred to later. I was fascinated by that !!
Yes the TPN food is totally tailored to your needs they make it up for you each day ,!
I’m not sure of the technicalities but you have a separate port for the food and another one for fluids bloods etc
It's called the GOJ gastrointestinal oesophageal junction!! Try saying that with a mouthful of peanuts!! Hehehe
Mine was there too but fortunately I was always able to eat, just had a few issues with bread mainly. However after chemo first time around I was eating baguettes!
