Hi everyone,

I've been away a little while due to a few problems with my mothers cancer causing even more mucus overnight. We now have a proper head support for her bed which has helped.

Anyway, my question is "Has anyone used the Airphysio product for relieving mucus & to aid better breathing."

Love to hear any experiences, good or bad. Because I have one on order & they aren't cheap.

Hope everyone here is feeling good today.

Regards,

Graeme.

  • Hi Graeme

Just 'bumping' your post back to the top of the discussion list as I can see you've not had any replies.

I did type 'airphysio' into the group search bar but drew a blank I'm afraid. Of course this doesn't necessarily mean that no one else has used this product just not commented on it.

    Latchbrook,

Thank you for checking if anyone has had experience with the AirPhysio.

I took a good long look at Amazon reviews before spending £50 on this device. I even asked people "Does it work ?" , again on Amazon. I had 2 replies that were very positive, they do work for mucus removal. So I took the plunge & I hope it works well. There are just far too many poor people who's biggest problem is the mucus build up, especially after getting out of bed.

When my mother has had a few days using the device, I will post my opinion on here, it may be a Godsend for removing thick mucus. But I will also say something if it doesn't do as described.

Take a look on Amazon to read how it works & what illness's it's great for. (Hopefully).

Again, Thank you for scouting the forums for me, that was really nice of you.

    My best wishes,

    Graeme.

  • You're welcome Graeme and it would be good to hear your review on this device. As you say it's not cheap but if it does the job then it's probably worth it.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it works for your mum

    Hi & good morning Latchwood,

Just wanted you to know that the Air Physio is in the UK, Heathrow to be precise. Should be delivered by the 1st of June. Then I can start to give my comments on it's effectiveness.

PS: How do you find being a Community Champion? I ask because Eliza has sent me the training course after she asked me to join this group. I will be completing the course soon as my mother has hit a difficult period. 2 weeks ago today we thought it was the end. Horrific mucus causing her breathing to be extremely difficult. I'm fairly calm, but this frightened me to begin with. Then when she actually managed to say it's mucus I went through the fizzy drink, hot herbal tea & steam inhalation procedure. By the time the GP arrived, I had mum downstairs & actually smiling. The GP praised me which made me feel great. But I operate using common sense.

This was the major reason that I sought out the Air Physio. I want that mucus eradicated. If it works I would love to give people some form of relief from the mucus that plagues their days. To quote you, " Finger crossed."

    Best wishes,

    Graeme.

  • Hi Graeme

Sorry I didn't get chance to respond to you yesterday.

In answer to your question about how I find being a Community Champion, then I'd say that I get a lot of satisfaction supporting people in the online community. My main groups are the melanoma and skin cancer groups, as that was the type of cancer, I had but my role also means that I welcome people in New to the Community and also look out for posts which haven't had any responses.

If you want to chat further about this then send me a friend request and I'll be happy to give you more information.

    Hi PathFinder1

My grandmother has the problem of Asthma and one day, I came across the advertisement of AirPhysio. Upon researching about these products. I reached a blog on AirPhysio vs Acapella. You should have a look at it once! Sharing the link below.

    AirPhysio vs Acapella

My grandmother found it quite good. She is using AirPhysio from past 2 weeks.

    Hi ixtony,

Used the AirPhysio for a few weeks. Then put it in the cupboard, you need to have a fairly powerful exhalation of air to rattle the bearing within. If your breathing is bad, you'll find it a waste of time. There are similar products that have different sized bearings, usually 2 in the product pack. I would try one of those as the smaller bearings require less power to rattle them. Then you may find you develop enough power to use the bigger bearing successfully. The link seems very badly written. My guess is it's just an ad for AirPhysio. And why would you need 3 ??? They last for years. Just go on Amazon & see the multi bearing alternatives that are much cheaper, but probably easier to use.

I only answered this as it relates to my original question. I am no longer posting on here for personal reasons.

    Regards,

    Gray.
