Overseas treatment

Hello,

I am writing to ask if anyone has researched or considered going overseas to try treatment that is not approved in the US. I am considering going to Germany where they allow for compassionate care treatment. Specifically am considering a clinic called Biotherapy International. My oncologist does not think I should go but is offering nothing for me here. I have had 6 weeks of ratiation and am not able to do chemotherapy. My tumor is not operable, I have been given only a year to live. I would like to try experimental treatment as there is nothing to lose. I am considering oncolytic virus therapy. I would appreciate any input. Thank you!!!

  • Hi

a warm welcome to the community. Sorry to hear about all that has been going on.

MacMillan are a UK based charity so I'm personally  not aware of what is or isn't approved in the USA. I supported my late husband through the 3 years of his GBM journey but he declined all further treatment after the first six weeks of oral chemo/radiotherapy.

There is another member of the online community who went to Germany for treatment. Here's the link to their post
