  • Yep I heard 250k. Is that right ?

  • not sure yet, as we are still exploring options and have only sent a couple of emails where costs were not discussed  but I would imagine it is far more expensive than the Germany treatment

  • Hi Matt

is it ok to ask some questions?
my friend has ovarian cancer advanced, we are thinking about DCT therapy with frank , is it worth the expense in your opinion going through it

any advice where to stay ect and how the day goes ? We have been told a consultation in the afternoon back in the morning to take bloods , then back in a week to recieve blood back ?

    thanks

    Angela

  • Hi Angela,

The clinic has recently moved to the outskirts of Cologne/Koln. When I went they were in Ulm so I can't advise on places to stay.  The first timeI went I spent too much, so quickly downgraded the hotel. Don't worry abou the language either, English is very widely spoken, even the taxi drivers have enough to get about.

Yes I did 2 over night trips a week apart. As to effectiveness, no-one knows. Beware anyone who makes rash promises. I am still here though. now >6months past the average prognosis.

I chose them because my surgeon didn't keep tumour amples for a Lysate based vaccine like DCL vax so I was limited to a peptide vaccine.

  • Hi, I'm new to these groups, has anyone had success with this and can possibly give me some more details.  Its for my 13 year old son. Thank you

  • Morning Zoe ? I have had a long chat with Matt who was great ! I am going to Germany with my friend very soon to the same Dr matt used for the DCT ,who has advanced ovarian cancer , I may be able to tell you more after ?
I have done a lot of research on it though , my friend also had the TACE treatment just before Christmas in Germany.

what cancer does your son have ? Pensive

  • Feeling terrific ! Latest scan is stable !

  • Hi, that would be great, thank you. Good luck for the trip.

My son has a brain tumour.  He's currently on immunotherapy nivolumab but I'm looking into other treatments for when it stops working.

    Thanks for your reply.

  • Hi Mat, great to read you are doing so well and long may it continue. May I ask when was the most recent scans and what did they reveal please?

    Thanks in advance, Marc

  • Hi,

Last scan was in April and it was clean. No evidence of disease. That was at 28 months post craniotomy.

I never stopped chemo however, and I think of this as an additional treatment. It is not a cure. Happy to chat if you want
