Diagnosed with Stage IV Follicular B Cell Non Hodgkins low grade 2 in January. Spleen is moderately enlarged. On watch and wait with no symptoms. Over the last month I have developed a gurgling in my abdomen similar to your stomach growling when you are hungry. Anyone else . Ps I’m a 64 year old retired male from Canada
Hi Extac2 and welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have Follicular Lymphoma (FL) but was diagnosed in 1999 with another type of Low Grade NHL stage 4. My type is rare (CTCL) but is also incurable like FL but these low grades are very treatable.
Active Monitoring (Watch and Wait) is a mind game and indeed I was on Active Monitoring for 14 years before I needed full on treatment although I did have skin treatments….. but it is so easy to associate every health issue that comes along as your Lymphoma.
The gurgling in your abdomen similar to your stomach growling when you are hungry could be anything including believe it or not stress. I had random abdomen/stomach issues over my early years but nothing to do with my Lymphoma it was simple tummy problems so my advise is talk with your clinical team.
In the UK we get assigned a Specialist Cancer Nurse who is part of the clinical team who we can contact with these questions cutting out the need to talk with consultants.
Do talk with your medical professionals.
Always around to chat.
