CT DNA

Anyone have any experience with CT DNA monitoring for follicular lymphoma. I'm having it for a prior colon cancer resection, but was wondering if it could be used for FL monitoring too.

  • Hi again  never heard of ctDNA…… but I had a search and in the UK our NHS (National Health Service) uses the ctDNA (circulating tumour DNA) test for lung cancer, triple negative breast cancer where it can help guide treatment decisions.

As it’s a peripheral blood test it will be interesting if it can be developed further to look at blood cancers.

  • Ct DNA is used mainly for solid tumors in the USA. The company my test is from is Natera, and their brand name for the test is Signatera. In my case it looks for circulating DNA from my excised colon cancer to see if cells from the (hopefully) excised tumor are still present. I've seen articles that suggest it may be useful for blood disorders such as lymphoma, but I don't see my oncologist for a few weeks to quiz him.
