Hi
Have been diagnosed and starting treatment after Boxing Day they are using R-CHOP treatment my cancer is in my stomach and spread to the chest they tell me that is quite common with this form of F Lymphoma
They tell me my first chemo session will last between 6 and 7 hrs and I will be stopping in hospital for at least overnight then I will have Chemo as an outpatient in three 3 week cycles
Just wondered if anyone can give me an idea of what to expect I know the hair loss etc just wondered how I will be feeling in the days after treatment
Any useful information for me and my wife we would be grateful
Awesome Paul, you’ve pretty much done it mate - out the other side and hopefully can enjoy a long and trouble free remission. Will be eagerly waiting to hear about your scan results over the coming months or so and wish you all the very best luck.
i had my first maintenance treatment on Tuesday and Wednesday I felt right as rain, so hopefully nothing to worry about for the maintenance period either.
Thanks Paul it's great have someone leading my way Here's to a trouble free maintenance period for you Paul hope all goes well
The scan the scan can't wait for that milestone and hopefully good results, I feel the treatment is doing the job and have absolute faith in my medical team but there's always a bit of apprehension
Good luck to all of you who are still being treated, maintenance will be a bit easier for sure.
Letter dropped through letterbox this morning my scan appointment on the 20th May so 1 day before I see my chemo team ...
I would ring your specialist nurse and let her know and push the appointment back a week
we all know this is a roller coaster ride, where we ride blind, never knowing where the highs and lows are
The norm used to be that the results of the scan would go to the MDT meeting and once that was held then the patient would find out, however so long as the scan is on the system they will be able to see it, though the radiographers report may be missing.

Been in touch with the nurse, well left an answer phone message with my concerns re scan and specialist appointment being so close together and my maintenance treatment starting the following week. Will let you know the outcome it maybe that I need to contact the imaging department to try and get the scan earlier
Thanks John for your advice and have a great day
Hello Fred,
They are rushing it aren't they, bit like playing cards with half a deck.
Just had a look t my appointments last chemo was 1st February, then 4th March was my PET/CT scan as they wanted all the drugs out of my system before the scans. I saw my team then on 16th April with 1st maintenance on the 17th. hope you get a better appointment arrangement.
