As I hang about waiting for a CT scan before the proton beam therapy, I have lost my sight in the eye, I stopped driving as I was nervous about judging distance but I think this is improving and I really need to get some independence back. I live in a remote area in the Highlands so public transport is a problem. I've had mixed information about driving with one eye, just don't know where to start. Has anyone gone through this process i.e., do I contact my insurance, DVLA what do I do first?thank you in anticipation.
Hi Katie99 and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that you've recently lost the sight in the eye that you're waiting to have treatment on.
I don't know whether you have to inform anyone about this, eg DVLA, insurance, etc but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. I think if I was in your position I'd ring either my GP or my CNS to ask what I should do. They should be able to tell you.
