Have encountered a new word in the last few weeks (a celeb interview) of "Scanxiety"...the sense of apprehension you get on the run up to an appointment, primarily for MRIs but I think it holds for any appointment really.
I have found it weirdly gives a certain easing of the sensations to have a "name" to give it.
