Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me please and tell me what to expect I have my first check up on Wednesday after my treatment in January I was just wondering what to expect
Hi
I can't help with what will happen specifically at your check-up as I had a different type of cancer, a skin melanoma. When I go I sit down with the consultant and she asks me about my general state of health and if there's anything I'm worried about. This gives me the chance to ask any questions as well. She then examines me from head to toe to make sure there are no other worrying lesions have appeared since the previous check-up.
I hope today's check-up goes well
x
I know it is too late to reply to Shelly but this might help someone else.
the 1st check -up (liverpool) is much like your 1st visit - you see a nurse who will ask you to read from a chart ,then move on to have your eyes looked at through a lens while looking at a light, then move on to have the eyes photographed, then speak to the consultant.
IN my case it took so little time that you almost wonder was it worth coming hundreds of miles for so little time (it was as was - good news)
