Hello, my husband has a reoccurrence of his small bowel cancer despite 2 surgeries and chemotherapy. He is now being offered more chemo to give him a little more time. My concern is that the side effects of chemo will make significantly worse his remaining time. Does anyone have any thoughts on this subject? Also, what is palliative care and when does this begin? Is it the same as end of life care? Thank you in advance and I’m sending everyone healing and comforting wishes.

I don't have any experience with palliative care but you might find this information from Marie Curie on what is palliative care and this information from Macmillan about cancer palliative care and support helpful in answering that part of your question.
