I had a bowel resection 4 weeks ago and now have a permanent colostomy. The biopsy results have come back as Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia. It’s all very new to me and totally unexpected.
I am wondering how soon I will feel better and able to do more. Would like to talk to anyone in a similar situation x

    Hi

welcome to the group . I have linked in the CLL group and will tag in  to see if he can be of any assistance to you in terms of treatment .

Would like like to know a bit more about coping with the colostomy? There are many people here who could help with that aspect and will hopefully be along soon .

Glad you found us and please feel free to ask any specifics and I will try and link you in with someone who can help .

  • Hi Court, thank you for replying. It’s all a bit new to me at the moment. I am still waiting for my CT scan and am seeing the Haematologist at the end of this month. I just need to know if I will need treatment or will it be watch and wait x

  • The treatment for CLL is a bit different from the treatment for bowel cancer but I will try and get someone to help you . It’s difficult navigating everything to begin with .

  • Hi  I noticed your post about CLL.

I am Mike  and I help out around our blood cancer groups.

CLL and Bowel Cancer are very much different so do go over to the CLL, SLL, HCL group I see you have joined and put up a post and introduce yourself to the group ((hugs))
