Good morning, im Kim im 35 & recently been diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer but categorised as cervical cancer as that’s where it was found . Rhabdomyosarcoma - they have no idea how this has happened. Been removed & about to start preventive treatment. Has anyone got some advice or tips. I would appreciate it xxx
Hi Kim35 and welcome to our group.
I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis-I’ve not read in this group before about this type of cancer being found in the cervix, and can appreciate this must have been a difficult diagnosis to process for you.
Perhaps you would be able to share what surgery you’ve had and what treatment you are going to have to see if anyone can help?
You may also want to join the soft tissue sarcoma group to see if you can find additional support there, and this is the link to it-
Many of us in the cervical group have gone through surgery and different treatments, but these may differ from the treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma, so if you can share exactly which treatment you are having and which drugs, for example, we might be able to find some common ground in the group to share our own experiences.
Sarah xx
