Hi New here, I was diagnosed in December 2024, Finished my treatment in April 2025, 5 chemotherapy, 25 Radiotherapy, and 3 Brachytherapy, some tough times in-between, magnisam, and blood transfusion. Like the rest of us sickness, fatigue, bowel problems, and radiation cystitis, and quite a few tears and what ifs. .Well on Monday the 4th of August I had the best news the cancer has gone,it's still sinking in.I do still have bowel problems, and still really tired, I would like to say to anyone starting their treatment journey keep going it's tough at times ,all the Dr and nurses I have met on the way have been fantastic,I was to shy to write sooner, I did read a lot on here though and it did help me to keep going and not feeling on my own as sometimes you can't talk to your family it to hard, hopefully this will help someone else, x
Hi Blodaugwyn11aef1b8 and welcome to our group.
I’m glad you found it helpful to read posts in the group, and thank you for posting your positive news-it’s always helpful for others starting out to see good results from treatment.
Now that you’ve plucked up the courage to make a post, I hope you’ll maybe feel you can post again and help others by sharing your experience with others starting out on treatment.
It takes a bit of time to get over the treatment-I remember how tired I was-but hopefully things will go back to normal with your bowel issues as time goes on.
Sarah xx
