This is going to stand you in really good stead. I would have been like your daughter in that scenario in the days when I still had a bladder! xx
I agree, I’m so grateful for the advice & support. The GP yesterday slightly brushed my cervix and it started to bleed, I’ve woken up this morning and have a lot of bleeding & pain. Hopefully I’ll not have to wait too long to get a definitive answer. Once again thank you xx
Mrs 14 I am exactly the same..I bleed every time they hoke and poke down there. And just when it stops there's another examination! I have been assured by the lovely ladies on here that after a few weeks of treatment this should clear up. I realy hope and pray that you get all questions answered so you can prepare for wotever comes next. This is a very safe space to let out all your fears and anxieties. Nobody will judge you. Keep posting.

Morning Mrs14
Sorry to hear this-it must be such a worry for you. It’s just ridiculous that no-one has thought to check your cervix. When I went to the gp with bleeding it was the first thing she did, thankfully. Really hope your appointment is through quickly so you can have a thorough exam by a gynaecologist. Take it easy today and look after yourself. xx
Thank you so much. If you don’t mind me asking what we’re/are your symptoms, background & diagnosis ?

Hi Aimee.
I was in a bad relationship and I refused to have sex since it suddenly began to be very painful.then I was bleeding after sex. Relationship ended and still the bleeding continued and along with it came a bad discharge! I assumed my ex had given me an STI so off I went to the go thinking I'd get pills and be done. Blood tests showed no infection but smear came back positive for HPV. I was fast tracked to gynea where I had a internal scan and a failed biopsy. Decision was made to have the biopsy done under general anesthesia. That was 05/12/21 I waited a month and was called in by consultant for my results on 04/01/22 you could have blew me over when he said it was stage 2b cervical cancer! I just wasn't prepared for that news. My treatment (like most ladies on here) is chemo radiation followed by brachytherapy. My first app is this Thursday. My advice while waiting for scans and appointments etc is to keep your mind busy. I read a lot and I'm a member of a walking group so that helped. I live alone so family support is paramount for me. Just ask any questions of me or anyone on the forum. We are quite the wee online family here lol.
Best wishes. Angela xx
I’m sorry to hear that. I’m almost finished a degree in paramedic science (August) so I’m kept busy with my studies which is good. I hope you’re keeping ok and thank you Aimee xx
Oh I'm strangely excited to get this treatment started. And there's you doing a degree in the midst of all your worries! You're 1 strong focused lady! You're braver than you know. Sending positive vibes.

Hi Sarah I just read your bio..omg you didn't half get it rough. You're a true survivor!! Quick question. Like yourself I wasn't offered a hysterectomy as cancer had progressed but I'm wondering if this treatment works would I have the option of having 1? I realise it's a major procedure but I would rather get it done to minimise risk of recurrence?
Thanks xx
