Hi,
I had cervical cancer nearly 7 years ago and I was given the all clear and discharged from the cancer hospital.
However, over the last few days I have been experiencing vaginal bleeding and I am very worried.
I have a fistula which I constantly leak down below and I have been admitted to hospital on numerous occasions with bowel obstructions and I was told in April that I have radiation enteritis, this was diagnosed from a CT scan.
I was recently admitted for another bowel obstruction and even though I didn't have a scan, I was told my bloods were good.
I am terrified.
Sending you love and good vibes,
Hi LisaCardiff. If you're experiencing vaginal bleeding I'd suggest you get on to your GP immediately.
I wish I could offer more advice but I've a different type of cancer, hopefully some of the members here might be along soon to chat.
You might find more information covering diagnosis and treatments there are pages covering most types of cancers which can be found on our Online Information and Support Section.

Hi MrsBJH,
Thank you for your reply.
I went to gynae clinic. The doctor told me the CT scan I had in April (I was diagnosed with radiation enteritis) was checked by the radiologist and he or she didn’t find anything ominous, which I always ask about. Then a second radiologist checked the same CT scan and he or she found a shadow. Apparently they wrote to me and I rang up and cancelled the appointment! I told the doctor that is not true. I haven’t received any such letter and I certainly haven’t rang to cancel. I don’t think she believed me or she thought I was simple. She didn’t give me much hope.
The doctor is arranging for me to have an urgent MRI in 2 weeks and they will write to me to confirm the time and the date. If I haven’t heard anything by Wednesday I will ring the gynae nurses to check.
I am petrified and terrified and anything else in between. I haven’t stopped crying.
I will keep you updated.
Sending you love and good vibes,
Lisa
