Hi, My partner has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at the beggining of March this year. This was after she had her first cancer in 2023 and treatment end in November last year and had her release form the oncology end of January 2025. The cancer has spread to her liver, bones and lung. Due to the primary cancer being triple negative and only had partial response to chemo our prognosis was very short but we remained hopeful.
Unfortunately her Paclitaxyl chemo was gerring cancelled for the last 3 weeks and her health deteriorated at an alarming rate. Last night after being admitted to the hospital for various symptoms we've been told to be ready that this or the next visit might be the one where she will not come home...
We are in our mid to late 30s and we are now trying to get married before the inevitably comes. I'm trying to give her everything i can while we have time left but I keep breaking down crying in front of her. I'm worried that me being so emotional in front of her makes her to suppress her own emotions.
I thought maybe sharing our story here might help me to cope with it better and maybe get some advice if someone has any. Thank you.
