Hiya I’m Issy and have joined this group as I am awaiting a bone scan result and think I may have bone mets. I was diagnosed stage 2b BC in Jan 18 and have been getting new pain in lower back at sacrum , hoping I’m wrong but knew this was always going to be a possibility , I wanted to ask does anyone with bone mets still work?
Hi there Issy nice to meet you. I was diagnosed a year ago with secondaries in the hip and spine. I have been on palbociclib and letrozole since then and all my scans to date have been stable. Thankfully I don't have pain from the mets, mostly joint pain from the medications which I control with over the counter painkillers. I work full-time Mon to Fri, office based. I have an understanding employer who has no problem giving me time out for appointments. Hope this helps
Jools xx
Hi Issy, my daughter was diagnosed with bone mets last year, she has just had her 3rd scan and all stable thankfully. To help you ,she is working very hard, running a home and has a 3 year old! She is amazing but I know this keeps her positive and able to feel "normal". I really wish you all the best.
