Heart️ Hello everyone Heart️

I’m 51 and from Sheffield in the UK.

I’m living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, which has spread to my liver only.

My diagnosis is:

Ribbon ER positive — 8/8

Ribbon PR positive — 7/8

Ribbon HER2 negative

Ribbon PALB2 gene mutation carrier

I’m currently having weekly paclitaxel chemotherapy after previously receiving capecitabine.

I have a CT scan coming up on 31 October, and I’m feeling incredibly anxious about the results.

I’d really love to connect with women who have the same or a very similar diagnosis, particularly those with liver-only metastases.

I’d also love to hear from women who have been living with stage 4 breast cancer for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years.

I’m looking for friendship, support, shared experiences and, most importantly, some hope for the future.

I’d be so grateful to hear your stories. Heart️

Thank you,

Natalee

  • Hello  and welcome to the MacMillan forum. I am sorry you have metastatic breast cancer.

I have been living with metastatic breast cancer since 2022. Liver mets only, but my cancer is triple negative. You can read my story by clicking on my name and there’s also a much longer blog of my 4 years linked to it. With a different cancer, my treatment journey has been different but I do have a lot of hope for the future. I am on 6-monthly surveillance and also get very anxious when results are due, even though I have been through it quite a lot of times now. I hope you are coping well with paclitaxel. I have had it a couple of times now. Wishing you all the best.
