Hi my names Christine I'm 49. I am married 2 girls aged 29 and 25 and a grandson aged 19 months.
Diagnosed with secondary last Nov. Soreaf to lung and ribs.
Been on letrazole and zoladex. Had a lung biopsy 4 tumours found after key surgery turned into opening me up.
Oncologist on Friday to see when to start palboclicib hopefully soon. Was waiting for wounds to heal and biopsy results.
Getting anxious about starting palboclicib. Off work just now. As furloughed until September. I work in a pharmacy.
Everything is up in the air.
Do I return to work? How will I get on with palboclicib? Xx
Hi Christine, im on cycle 7 of palbociclib, first scan January showed healing in the bone and no spread. I work full time administration and have been working from home, but plan to return to the office in may. I also take letrozole and denosumab injection. I feel fine and the side effects for me are minimal and controllable.
Hope this helps
Jools xx
Hi Jools-50
Thank you for your reply.
I work in a pharmacy so on my feet all day. I won't be able to lift boxes etc.
I'm terrified my rib breaks again. It broke and the pain I was blue lighted through. Think I'm scared that happens again.
I'll see what oncologist says on Friday then speak to my boss. Thank you again xxx
