  • Hello, I'm not new to this site but haven't posted before. I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer 2 years ago - after a 30 year remission! I wish I had been warned there was still a possibility of the cancer returning after all these years and I might have got myself checked earlier when I had various aches and pains. I have extensive bone mets throughout my body and have been on Letrozole and Palbociclib, as well as Denosumab, for these two years.  Side effects - fatigue, occasional nausea, hair thinning etc - are bearable but I dread these drugs ceasing to work. I am 77 so can't really grumble - I know of many much younger women who have maybe young children. Mine are all grown up and I have many grandchildren. But I have an elderly husband with dementia and I need to stay alive as long as possible to care for him. I just want to say how comforting and helpful I find these sites where women in a similar situation discuss their experiences. Keep smiling and live in the here and now - so I tell myself! Gwyn
