My Mums been recently diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in her liver. She also has heart failure & AF so only treatment option offered was Tamoxifen to try reduce turnouts in liver. Oncologist advised without treatment she only had 3months life expectancy and am just so worried and unsure how much this will work - anyone got similar experiences- I am trying to be realistic and know it’s difficult to predict....thanks

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to read that your mum has recently been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in her liver. This must be an incredibly worrying time for the whole family.

I didn't have this type of cancer, so don't have any experiences to share, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any responses yet. While you're waiting, if you type 'liver' into the search bar in this group it'll pull up previous posts which mention secondary cancer in the liver. You could have a read through those and reply to any of the more recent ones if you want to ask the poster any questions.

You might also like to take a look at the thread started in this group called 'positive breast cancer stories'. Clicking here will take you straight to it.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your mum's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
