I was diagnosed with breast when I was 42, had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and lumpectomy. Went to doctors this year in April and diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in my lungs, bones and brain.  Had 6 rounds of docetaxel, phesgo and bone strengthener. However had my MRI results on Wednesday and the tumor in my brain has grown to 2.3cm waiting to see doctors on Monday for the plan, but been so emotional this week with worry. Is anyone in the same boat?

  • Hi Tina,  I am so sorry to read about your diagnosis.  I am not in the same boat as you but have bone mets in most of my bones.  I also had breast cancer when I was 47 and had surgery, chemo and radiotherapy.  Was diagnosed in September 2024 with secondary breast cancer with bone mets.  I just wanted to wish you good luck for Monday , I am keeping everything crossed for you.  Sending you big hugs.

  • I was 46 when  I got my first diagnosis and they only found the tumours in my liver by chance (I had a gall bladder infection) . I wish more could be done around follow up after primary treatment as more and more young (and older) women are battling secondary breast cancer. Cry On a positive note , more treatments for Secondary breast cancer are coming out all the time so please don’t  give up hope. Heart
