I don't visit this site much at the moment because I found that I was getting sucked into the bad news stories and it was making me feel very low. Anyway, as an alternative, I thought I would start a thread for positive secondary BC stories as I'm pretty sure we would all welcome them! Please feel free to add your own so that we can build a library to remind us of positivity when we are feeling that our bodies are against us! Positive stories only please. My first one is below the emojis.

Oh wow 20th cycle that so brilliant. Early days for me I suppose, think I’m just frustrated I can’t walk very far and the weather has been brilliant! I went for miles last year. Hopefully I’ll manage soon. Cx

Wow round 14! It really gives me hope! I’ve 3 daughters all grown up and it’s them I can’t stop thinking about them! I’m also on 125mg of Palbo can these be reduced in strength if you respond to treatment? There’s so much I don’t know!!

So true I am waiting for my treatment plan and the waiting is sending me insane trying to keep positive while feeling I’ve been given this shock news. I’m sure I’ll feel stronger once treatment starts..

    brilliant gives us all hope

  • Hi  they like you to be on the higher dose for as long as possible so i have been told probably more effective. If you are not handling it they can reduce dosages to 100 mg or 75 mg

Hi Patertina the waiting for results really is the worst part of the process, well it was for me. You feel so out of control of your own body and the shock of the diagnosis running around in your head. My advice is to stick with pages like these where you’ll get proper facts and information. Fingers crossed you receive your treatment plan soon. Cx

Hi thank you for that wee nugget of information no one had explained that to me, or they could’ve done and I was so drugged up I don’t remember! Talking about drugs only breakthrough medication I’m now taking is paracetamol so hoping that’s a positive sign. Cx

    Hi HErhOF92

Like you. I am very frustrated that I can’t walk.  Prior to this recent diagnosis I was walking for miles.  I have no idea if I will ever do that again.
