Hi all,
I currently have liver mets which were stable on the last scan (next scan is this week).
But, I’ve had tinnitus over the past 2 weeks which has been continuous for the past week (sound is like crickets in a field in both ears and feels like it’s in my head !) and also a kind of grinding in my right ear which comes and goes. GP had just examined my ears and they are clear.
So, I have emailed my onc to see if they can do a head scan as I’m worried sick! GP said if mets ruled out, he’ll refer me to ENT.
Any help would be appreciated !

Just to add , I’m on Letrozole and Abemaciclib. Just wondering if anyone had this side effect on these meds? Xx
Bizarrely I have had tinnitus since my primary diagnosis in 2018 (I don’t have secondary bc) I always put it down to chemo but I also take Letrozole. Interesting-I’ll do some research.
Thanks for this and hope yours isn’t too bad! It’s driving me mad. I’ve seen a couple of posts as well now so I really hope it’s Letrozole. Spoke to my nurse today and it’s not in the side effects official list and hoping to get a brain MRI this week. I’ve got a really bad headache as well now but that could be stress! I just need peace of mind. I have my liver scan tomorrow and hoping that’s still stable.. Fingers criseed. Thanks agsin xx
Hope your liver scan results don't take long and is showing it stable. You're doing right thing getting an MRI and hope it's soon and can set your mind at rest. Waiting about is torture.

Thank you so much. Just need to get them both out of the way. It’s hard enough at scan time but having these other symptoms at the same time is awful. Takes me back to waiting for secondary diagnosis. Take care xx
Thinking of you! Hope all goes well!
My tinnitus is loud and constant high pitched tone…drives me nuts!
Aww thank you. It’s driving me nuts too . It’s constant and I get different sounds now and it’s like pounding in my ear if I bend down or put my head back. That scared me even more! Anyway I’ve spoken to a consultant now and they’ve requested an urgent head MRI . I’m really scared but know it needs checking. I pray it’s the Letrozole
. Hope you get some sleep, I’m struggling. Xx

I hope you've had your head scan.
Lots of drugs can cause tinnitus so I hope that is the cause.
I've had tinnitus for over 40years due to inner ear surgery.
I've learned to live with it but it is annoying.
There are masking devices but have never used one.
I hope yours is not permanent.
Take care.
Doreen.
Thanks Doreen. My scan is next Monday after lots of chasing! I’m scared but hoping it is meds and stress headaches. So next week I should get results of body scan and head . Praying I’m stable and no head mets!!! Omg 40 years ! I need to look at what I can do as it’s still there and been 3 weeks now. Going to look at headphones and apps for night when it’s worse. Getting no sleep! thanks for reaching out and take care xx
