In the past 5 weeks I've got that tired and ache. Struggling to stay awake, no appetite and no interest in anything. My cancer nurse has said that they will be starting me on Fulvestrant and then Alpelisib. My concern is the injection Fulvestrant, have the first couple at the hospital and then my GP takes over. I have no confidence in my GP at all. I saw him about my poor mental health over a year ago and he did nothing. I now cannot leave home unless someone is with me and I'm wondering how I'm going to get to the GP for the injection.
Hi Grezzelin
Sorry to hear that you are struggling at the moment and that your GP hasn't been any help. Would you consider changing to another GP in the practice that you are attached to? If you don't feel you can do that maybe talk to your cancer nurse about what you are going through and they should be able to help you.
Wishing you the best of luck with your new treatments.
Best wishes

I'm sorry to be so long in replying. I had my first injection last Thursday. Injections not that bad. The side effects kicked in before I had even made it outside. Sweat was dripping off me and went really giddy, everything was spinning. All my symptoms have got worse, struggling to stay awake, not eating. I phoned oncology yesterday and told them to cancel any further appointments or treatments. I can't cope with this, its not living. Im struggling to even take care of myself
